Schick quattro compatible blades12/2/2023 ![]() Storing your razor in the shower is not the best practice. That way if you’re shaving under running water, your hands won’t slip. The handles are typically made using a rubber to provide a good grip. Some razors have an ergonomic handle that make them comfortable to hold. The razor may come with a safety cover or a carrying case. Keep an eye out for any extra features the razor may offer. Often these ribbons contain all-natural ingredients that are known to hydrate and soothe the skin, such as shea butter, aloe and vitamin E. Keeping your skin hydrated is important and many models have moisture ribbons or strips above and below the razor blades. There are also electric models, which have floating foil heads to shave any shorter hairs that aren’t cut by the bigger blades.Ĭheck for a moisture strip next. Blades that are curved and come with skin guards are ideal, as they work with your body and help protect against skin irritation. Look for a razor with stainless steel blades that provide a close shave. Consider a razor that is compact and disposable, so you can toss it once the trip comes to an end. Women who take a lot of business trips or vacations to see family and friends regularly would do well with a smaller and more portable razor. You’d be better off with a razor that has blades that are thin and ideal for shaping or shaving select areas on the face.Ĭonsider how often you travel before picking a razor. For example, the hairs on your face tend to be finer and the skin more sensitive. Here are a few tips to help you find the razor that will best meet your needs.ĭecide if you’re looking for one razor that can do everything or a razor that is specific to one area of the body. That’s a lot of shaving, which means a quality razor is a must! With so many different types of women’s razors on the market, it can be hard to choose one. Here is a link that contains one of my post with in depth review about schick quattro titanium. The human body has five million hair follicles. ![]() So far it seems like the most optimal product on my face and on my wallet. I am pretty sure a single cart of schick will provide me atleast 8 shaves and if that happens, schick easily fits my monthly budget on shaving. Because it is aggressive and requires technique, it keeps me deeply involved in the shaving ritual the whole time and thats what I really enjoy. If you shave with this razor carelessly as you can with gillette, its blades will chew on your skin and it will look like a torture device. Its a cart that is well "engineered" and requires a lot of attention while you shave. If i use the same pressure on schick razor as I was taught by gillette razors, I get razor burns and bumps. I really have to keep my pressure in check because it requires even lesser pressure than gillette to cut the whiskers. Schick is the most aggressive cart I have ever used. this razor easily cuts off those whiskers that run along the skin. I bought schick quattro titanium recently, today I had my third shave with it and I loved the results. So if you are into comfort and a decent shave but not very close, gillette is your friend. Fusion did cut but only for couple of shaves and then same problem. These razors failed to cut those no matter what angle or technique I used. There are patches of whisker on my neck and just below the chin that run right along the skin instead or running away from it. The reason why gillette failed on my face is because its all about comfort and when you are going too much into comfort you are likely to miss on close shave. I used mach 3, blue 3 (also known as sensor 3), fusion and fusion proglide. It gives you the freedom to be lost in another world of yours as you are shaving without any worries. In my experience, gillette is all about smooth and comfortable shave. Here is how I would compare the two brands (gillette and schick/wilkinson sword, Sorry never used bic, its not here in the market). If you put too many points into comfort in order to make the razor less aggressive, you are likely to fail on close shave and vice versa. These two variables are inversely related to each other. One is the comfort/aggression and other is close shave. ![]() So far in my experience, there are two variables that largely contribute to razor's performance. ![]() Before I jump directly into comparison, there are certain things I would like to explain using my engineering perspective on the razors. ![]()
