Soundtrack for houdini escape room11/30/2023 ![]() Once we failed our 'captain' came to release us but again had no enthusiasm to engage us in where we went wrong or say how close we were. ![]() Some of the puzzles were just poorly executed - I don't want to spoil it by explaining more but for a new experience there were too many things that didn't quite work, or were damaged - plaster on the floor underneath a table shows that we weren't the only ones to think this on one puzzle in particular. The 'captain' on the other end was also totally disinterested and did nothing to engage us in the game. I understand that it was done to be in keeping with the theme but answering once you moved through the puzzles and the space just took too long. The method for receiving clues - a telephone call - was distracting and took you away from being immersed in the theme. We didn't escape but that is not the reason we didn't enjoy it. Clue Chase Labs believes that Houdini was holding these events in order to search for the only real source of mystic power in this world The Artifact. Famous for his skepticism of self-proclaimed mystics Houdini was famous for taking part in seances in order to debunk these charlatans. ![]() The theme - titanic - was brilliant, as was the initial experience of the first element to the room, and the space layout as a whole - waking past other rooms and knowing how they connected together for emergency escape was cool.
