Some staff are more familiar with the ebook platforms than others but anyone should be able to connect you with one of our staff who can work with you. If you run into trouble along the way we are here to help.We recommend keeping this information elsewhere, such as in a research management application or an email to yourself. Keep in mind that once the file expires you will lose your place in the book and any notes associated with the book.After that time elapses the file will no longer be readable. In some cases you can choose the length of time for the file to be active, up to a limit. ![]() Adobe Digital Editions supports the following EPUB specifications: EPUB publications 3.0 EPUB Content Documents 3.0 EPUB Open Container Format 3.0 (OCF), and EPUB Media Overlays 3.0 System requirements For detailed system requirements, see the Tech Specs. Click the appropriate link for your computer and follow the prompts on your screen to download and install the software. Using Adobe Digital Editions, you can read books in PDF and EPUB formats. Now you can download the ebook and it will appear on your device for the time indicated in the database. To download Adobe Digital Editions for your desktop or laptop, you can follow the instructions in each e-book provider or you can go to the Adobe Digital Editions download page.Some of our ebook platforms, unfortunately, require you to set up an account with the company providing the platform if you need to download the full-text version (for example: Ebsco/NetLibrary. Here is a link for more information on the Ebsco Ebook Collection/NetLibrary).Use your Adobe Digital Editions ID to authenticate your device after installing the app.Download the Bluefire Reader app on their website or find it in the app store for your mobile device.Go to the Create an Adobe ID page first and set up an account.It usually works better if you have your Bluefire software up and running before attempting to download the ebooks.It works with an Adobe Digital Editions account, but is much more user friendly and works on many different types of devices. Even though many of those ebook platforms recommend using Adobe Digital Editions software, we recommend the Bluefire Reader app instead.
